When students leave campus for the summer, St. Brigid School teachers assign work to help prevent loss of skills. Math practice and summer reading activities are an excellent way to keep student's minds engaged and prepared for the coming year.
A supply list is provided for each student and parents are asked to purchase some community classroom supplies such as cleaning wipes, paper towels, and paper as they are able.
Below is a listing of the summer work and supply lists per grade.
For a third consecutive year St. Brigid School is utilizing federal funding, distributed by the State of Maine, to conduct a summer program to assist students who have suffered learning loss due to the pandemic or would benefit from extra assistance in the content areas of mathematics and English/Language Arts. In order to properly staff the Summer Kickstart, I need you to complete the registration form on this page. Based on your responses I will then work to secure the necessary staffing levels. This program is offered at no charge to students who will be entering grades PreK- grade 8 in the Fall of 2023, providing adequate staffing is secured.
